He is widely recognized
across the marketing industry (and on Wikipedia) for inventing the
concept of Social Media Optimization (SMO) on his blog, and has been featured as an expert in global media including BusinessWeek, MarketingChina, PR Week UK, Fast Company, BusinessWorld, Le Figaro and many other publications. Prior to joining Ogilvy in DC, Rohit led the interactive team at Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Sydney, Australia where he lived for 5 years. He holds dual citizenship with Australia and the US. He currently lives in Washington DC with his wife and two young sons, Rohan and Jaiden.
