"Almost 100 But Actually 110" Word Short Bio: Rohit is a marketing expert and founding member of the Ogilvy 360 Digital Influence team, the world's largest global network of social media strategists and the best selling author of Personality Not Included. His second book called Likeonomics will be published in early 2012 and his personal marketing blog Influential Marketing has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and named one of the top 25 marketing blogs in the world. Rohit has been invited to speak at TEDx, Wharton, CES and quoted as a marketing expert by Fast Company, NPR, SkyNews, and The Guardian (UK). He lives in Washington DC, where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Georgetown University.

He is the author of the best selling book Personality Not Included, an actually useful (gasp!) guide on creating a more human business, published in 8 different languages. His second book, called Likeonomics will be published by Wiley in early 2012. He has published over 900 pieces of marketing advice on his personal marketing blog called Influential Marketing, which AdAge Magazine ranked among the top 25 marketing blogs in the world and was described by the Wall Street Journal as "intellectual and educational."
Rohit has been featured on the covers of MarketingChina and PRWeek magazines and been quoted or interviewed as a marketing expert for SkyNews, WashingtonPost, Fast Company, NPR, CNN, The Guardian and other print, regional radio and broadcast outlets around the world. In addition, he is a featured contributor to the American Express Open Forum and the USA Network blog Characters Approved.
Rohit is also a popular keynote speaker on marketing and business and has been invited to speak by TEDx, CES, National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), AMA (American Marketing Association) and over 100 other organizations around the world. In the past year, he has spoken at events in Oslo, Beijing, Brussels, San Francisco, New York, London, Paris and Toronto. As an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, Rohit teaches a popular Global Marketing course which challenges students to study 7 different countries each semester and he has been named one of the Most Influential South Asians In Media & Marketing.
In 2006, Rohit invented the concept of Social Media Optimization (SMO) on his blog (and recently updated his original 5 rules with the 5 new rules of SMO), and is widely recognized across the marketing industry (and on Wikipedia) for this. Before moving back to America, Rohit led the interactive team at Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Sydney, Australia where he lived for 5 years and led marketing campaigns for Arnotts, Subaru, Malaysia Airlines, Kelloggs, and Maggi.
He holds dual citizenship with Australia and the US, and currently lives in Washington DC with his wife and two young sons, Rohan and Jaiden.
